About the Role

What You Will Do

·       Greet and assist walk-in customers professionally and warmly

·       Answer phones, direct inquiries, and manage incoming communication

·       Handle customer payments and provide cashier support

·       Assist in basic product sales and understanding product offerings

·       Enter timecards and data in Excel to support payroll

·       Generate reports for sales, expenses, and month-end

·       Support accounts payable or receivable (experience in one area is required)

·       File, restock supplies, and prepare internal documents for meetings

·       Assist with organizing staff travel, training, and occasional events

·       Use internal software to track services and customer needs

·       Maintain a clean and organized reception area

·       Perform other duties as assigned

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receptionist & Department Assistant to support day-to-day operations across departments. This is a key position at the front of our organization that blends reception, customer service, administration, and light accounting support.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is tech-savvy, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years’ experience in reception, admin, sales, or customer service

  • Strong Excel and general computer skills

  • Experience with accounts payable or receivable (both is an asset)

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic cash handling

  • Business Office Assistant Certificate or equivalent is an asset

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation


Working Conditions

  • Office-based in a rural setting with occasional interruptions

  • Sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day

  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs) and restocking duties

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, with minimal overtime as required

  • Must be comfortable commuting to a location outside city limits
